Which networks is the XL1000 big enough for?
The XL1000 scales to networks of up to 1,000 users; within the product family it sits in the Campus and Mid-Scale group. The firewall, the hotspot, VPN and signed access logging all run on a single device.
Firewall throughput is 40,000 Mbps, application inspection 13,000 Mbps, and NGFW throughput with every security module enabled 10,000 Mbps. As long as your internet line stays below these figures, the device will not become a bottleneck. On the interface side there is 6 Gbit Ethernet plus 2 SFP+ 10 Gbit fiber ports.
